Why We Care

Research tells us:

  • In Australia, 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers experience perinatal anxiety or depression, costing the nation $877 million annually (PwC & Gidget Foundation Australia, 2019).

  • Around 1 in 7 children aged 4–17 experience a mental-health condition each year, highlighting the need for consistent, nurturing support beyond school (AIHW, 2022).

  • 1 in 4 older Australians report feeling lonely, even though most wish to remain living independently at home (AIHW, 2023).

At Steady Nest, we’re committed to helping change these statistics — one family at a time. It takes a village to raise a child, and we hold that supportive space, like a village would.
