How are your services different to other babysitting services?
More than a babysitting service, Steady Nest provides holistic in-home support for the whole family. Our caregivers are experienced mothers and qualified professionals who understand parenting from both personal and professional perspectives. We bring the calm, capable care of a village into your home — helping you steady the nest.

Do you clean my home and cook dinner?
Our primary focus is being a caregiver, if we have time we will do a light tidy up to restore calm, but it is not a cleaning service. Yes we offer meal prep and batch cook for busy mums.
Do you help with older children too?
Yes. We support families navigating sibling transitions and new baby dynamics, school routines, behaviour and boundaries.
What are your rates?
Our weekly nanny rate for standard care starts at $40 per hour, Saturdays start at $45 per hour and overnight is $50 per hour. Twins is an additional $5 per hour - T&C apply.

We also charge an admin set up fee of $150 for new client onboarding.
Are your staff experienced and vetted?
Yes. Our team includes experienced parents and professionals with backgrounds in early childhood, counselling, teaching and community work. Caregivers undergo thorough background checks, and are fully immunised to keep you and your family safe. ​Clearances include:

Can I book a one-off session?
Yes. We offer flexible packages (3, 6, 8 hour and overnight stays) - no long term commitment required.

Is it covered by Medicare or NDIS?
Not currently, but we're working on it. Steady Nest packages are currently paid services.
Can I gift a package?
Yes! Care packages and gift vouchers are available - perfect for baby showers or overseas family support. The vouchers are valid for 12 months.
