Steady Nest holds space like a village would...
"Because every family
deserves a steady nest —
to grow, connect, and thrive.
Our Why
Research tells us:
-
In Australia, 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers experience perinatal anxiety or depression, costing the nation $877 million annually (PwC & Gidget Foundation Australia, 2019).
-
Around 1 in 7 children aged 4–17 experience a mental-health condition each year, highlighting the need for consistent, nurturing support beyond school (AIHW, 2022).
-
1 in 4 older Australians report feeling lonely, even though most wish to remain living independently at home (AIHW, 2023).
At Steady Nest, we’re committed to helping change these statistics — one family at a time. It takes a village to raise a child, and we hold that supportive space, like a village would.
Values
We have five values that guide our practice and shape the way we care:
Faith: Our inner anchor. We lead with love, kindness, respect, and a non-judgemental spirit.
"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love" - Mother Teresa
Family: We support you now so that future generations can thrive.
"A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in" - Unknown
Fun: Children are naturally playful—we bring warmth, lightness, and joy into the home.
"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing" - George Bernard Shaw
Freedom: Learning is lifelong. With every new skill, your independence and confidence will grow.
"You must be the change that you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
Fairness: We stand for equity—supporting those in need, promoting inclusion, and driving change.
"A community is judged by how it treats its most vulnerable" - Mahatma Gandhi
