Our Why:

We are on a mission to rebuild the local village many families no longer have — often due to migration, distance from extended family, or modern living. We know stress, loneliness, and isolation can deeply impact wellbeing. The Steady Nest team serves our community with heart and joy, and we often become the trusted “aunty”, sister, mum, or granny that families need in their corner.

Who we're looking for:

We welcome applications from:

  • Experienced caregivers and career-changers (including stay-at-home mums returning to work, teachers, nurses, midwives, and support workers). If you bring warmth, life experience, and dependable care skills, you’ll fit right in.

  • Students and school leavers seeking work experience or a junior pathway. No extensive experience required — we’re looking for responsibility, kindness, and a willingness to learn.

What’s on offer:

• Competitive pay

• Flexible shifts (minimum 3 hour shift)

• Casual, part time or full time jobs available

• Job-sharing opportunities

• A supportive, values-led team

• Public liability insurance

• Ongoing professional development grounded in evidence-based research

Minimum Requirements:

• Blue Card and National Police Check

• First Aid and CPR certified (or willing to get it)

• Drivers license (or learners license)

• Two recent References

• Fully vaccinated as per job requirements

• A sense of humour with a heart of gold 💛
