Tanya Todorovski
Family Counsellor | Maternal Mentor
Tanya is a qualified family counsellor, holding a degree in counselling with a major in psychology and sociology. She has supported children and families across a range of educational and therapeutic settings — including special education, mainstream schools, kindergartens, and early childhood centres.
She began her career as a family counsellor at a childcare centre in Melbourne, progressing into leadership as the centre's ECE Principal. Since relocating to Brisbane in 2002, she has continued to focus on family wellbeing, child development, and inclusive care practices.
Her time as an ECE Principal also gives Tanya a genuine, hands-on understanding of what it takes to run an early childhood service well.
Tanya is passionate about creating environments where children feel safe and families feel empowered, and she is a dedicated advocate and mentor for mothers navigating some of parenthood's most challenging moments — building long-term resilience through respectful, trauma-informed care. Her supervising social worker at the Parent Aide Unit describes Tanya as bringing warmth, flexibility, and gentle nurturing to every family she supports — not only the child, but the mother too, at some of the most vulnerable moments in early parenthood.
