Nanny, Family Support Caregiver

Olivia is a warm, dedicated caregiver with a genuine love for working alongside children of all ages, currently completing her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at the University of Southern Queensland alongside her Certificate II and III in Health Services Assistance.

Olivia's experience spans several years in outside school hours care, where she has supported children aged 4 to 11 through structured, engaging programs that prioritise safety, wellbeing, and inclusion. She has worked closely with children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and cerebral palsy, and is experienced in administering medications and medical support such as asthma and diabetes care. More recently, she has stepped into a Responsible Person role, overseeing daily operations, staff support, and family communication in line with National Quality Framework requirements.

Alongside her hands-on care experience, Olivia's ongoing psychology studies bring a strong, evidence-based understanding of child development, behaviour, and wellbeing to her work — knowledge she continues to deepen as a published co-author on psychological research. She also draws on several years in customer-facing retail roles, which have shaped her communication skills and her genuine ability to build rapport with the people she works with.

Olivia is drawn to one-on-one family support because it lets her build the kind of individual connection that a group care setting doesn't always allow, and she's looking forward to bringing that same warmth and reliability to the families she supports through Steady Nest.
