Tanya Godwin
Perinatal & Family Support Consultant
Tanya has spent more than 40 years supporting women, babies, and families through pregnancy, birth, and the early stages of parenthood across hospital, community, and in-home settings.
She is deeply passionate about providing gentle, practical support that helps families feel more confident, informed, and supported as they adjust to life with a new baby.
Throughout her career, Tanya has walked alongside mothers and newborns during some of life’s most significant transitions. Her experience spans pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period, with a strong focus on continuity of care and building trusting, supportive relationships with families.
Tanya also has experience supporting women and families within the NDIS, including those living with intellectual, physical, or psychosocial disabilities. This work has strengthened her belief that every mother deserves compassionate, individualised support that respects her circumstances, strengths, and goals.
While Tanya brings extensive experience in supporting women and babies, her role within Steady Nest focuses on practical, supportive care rather than clinical or medical advice. The guidance she offers comes from decades of hands-on experience and is shared as gentle recommendations to help families navigate the early stages of parenthood.
Through her work with Steady Nest, Tanya hopes to help create the kind of “village” every family deserves — where parents feel supported, capable, and never alone during the early days of raising a child.
