Our Why
Life may move you across cities, sometimes countries — let Steady Nest hold space, like your village would. The numbers below aren't abstract: they're the mothers, children, and older Australians we support every day, because it takes a village, and every family deserves one.
1 in 5
Parents:
In Australia, 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers experience perinatal anxiety or depression. We offer practical, nurturing support in the early weeks and months - alongside any clinical care you may need.
55%
Motherhood & Work:
Mothers’ income can drop by 55% in the first five years after having a baby. We understand that stay-at-home mothers need flexibility and income, so we build shifts around their family needs.
1 in 7
Children:
Around 1 in 7 children aged 4–17 experience a mental health condition each year. We provide nurturing care that helps children build self-esteem, confidence, and a strong sense of who they are.
58%
Over 50s & Work:
58% of job-seekers over 50 report facing age discrimination when looking for work. We help empty nesters share their wisdom and time with younger families, and earn a flexible income.
1 in 4
Older Adults:
1 in 4 older Australians report feeling lonely, whether family have moved away or the nest has emptied. We bring the village to them — outings, companionship, and a shared cuppa at the kitchen table.
